1. Why develop a career as an AI scientist?
When we talk about revolutionary technologies, we are now at a time where AI is used in almost every field and area of industry and science. When you train as an AI developer, it becomes possible for you to choose the field you want to work in, thanks to the wide spread of technology, and it can be anything from medicine to wind turbines. Also, practicality, cost reduction and huge demand for AI scientist staff, certainly goes in favor of choosing a career path of AI Scientist.
2. What employment and advancement opportunities do you have for that career path?
The opportunities for employment and advancement in Clarivate are numerous when it comes to AI and these are just some of the examples: Search and DataScience teams rely on AI when it comes to pushing the boundaries of the possible, accelerating innovation and designing new and further developing existing products . Also, the prediction of the developmental pathway of a new drug relies heavily on AI and data from similar previous processes. Accelerating the trademark registration process relies on AI in recognizing similar existing trademarks for the same or similar product categories.
3. What technologies do your developers use most on projects?
Definitely a question that is not easy to answer because:
- The technologies we work with at Clarivate are constantly changing and improving
- The choice of libraries definitely depends on the area in which the problem we are solving is located.
In the core of it all is Python, and the most commonly used libraries are TensorFlow/Keras and PyTorch.
4. What is one thing that is unique about working in your company?
One of our company goals is volunteer hours – our colleagues can volunteer for up to 5 working days a year, and the company will pay for them during that time. So far we have organized voluntary blood donation, planted the whole park, cleaned “Fruška Gora”, equipped children for the beginning of the school year, made over 200 children from the south of Serbia happy with New Year’s packages.
5. One fun fact about your company?
Since the first participation in the marathon in 2019, over 80 colleagues have decided to run the first 5, 21, and even 42km!
